Missing me bit?

One week ago i was busy like bumble bees. You know how bee works till the last breath of their life? I am almost like it but not the death part. Anyway! My digital media degree showcase had officially over last Friday. Those who missed it, here are some of the details:

It was a great show. We all did amazingly awesome. :)

I learned a lot for the past few weeks, physically (soldering the wires, leds) and mentally (brainstorm for the conceptual part and script). Besides that, during the preparation for the exhibition, it was the first time that all of us dm kids were so united. hehe

I gonna miss you all. I wish i can learn more from each other and from the lecturers. Digital Media is moving towards a new phase, paradigm shift (one of the reason that the exhibition was named as 'paraDM shift') but we won't be there to witness it since we all gonna grad soon. Well, at least we were the pioneer batch to push DM in MMU to a higher ground. I guess. :)

Knock on the door of 2010!

Hello people!

This is shocking but i can't believe i actually went to KL - the city in new year eve. Yvonne woke me up at around noon and asked me to tag along to kl. They were going to shoot footages for their film so i thought i was going to do my work there in a nice cafe so i brought my laptop along (regret) and some SHOPPING.

Laptop...haih why i bring you out hang out with me around KL? Literally hang on my shoulder together with me. Anyway didn't get the chance to sit down and do my work because was late and etc etc. Ahem but i did shop a little. :) 3 items are little right?

Btw 1st of January is my roomate's birthday! Happy Birthday to Yvonne Chong! :P Me and Charuk planned to get her a present but we don't know what to get her so instead of buying ourselves we asked her to pick her own present but she couldn't got to pick any. And the shops were closing at around 10pm, so we took her to Bangkok Jazz! We were feeling thai-ish. KAP KUN KHAP (wrong).

I bit on some chili padi, god it was damn spicy. We had very thai dishes, som tum? (papaya salad), kuey teow something sup, fried cat fish with mango salad and sago with mango, coconut milk. Yummy. Happy birthday miss Von!

Then Yvonne separated with us, she went to KLCC to meet the others. Me and Charuk took train back to KL sentral. Yesh we were avoiding the crowd and the countdown. :) 1130pm, rushing to train station to catch the last KLIA express to back to Cyberjaya, home. Along the route, saw lots of ppl still going in to KL while we, away from the core of KL to isolation. HAHA.

Bought the last ticket, waited in the air-con waiting room. Train arrived at around 11:55pm.

We were crapping in the train and without notice, the clock almost strike 12am! 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5,4,3,2,1 ... HAPPY NEW YEAR! We shouted in the nearly-empty train. And of coz HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL MY FRENS and FAMILY!

Once i heard, how you spend your first day of new year determine the overall performance or look and feel of the rest of the year. So me and Charuk interpreted that our 2010, we will be spending time in the train, so which means travelling? Express train? So we will be moving fast forward? Let's hope our FYP will bring us far in future k :)

Tossed to our journey to money, health, future, success and fame! Ahhh, cheers.

Running away!

This is sooo torturing, my eyes and my brain. SRI! Thesis require tremendous reading to finish and i honestly hvnt really read finish any of the articles...but i only read the part that have the keywords i wanted and extract sentences from there. SRI is crazy. People who write thesis are absolutely awesome and patient people. For now, i am not awesome.

I keep thinking about my FYP!! Can't wait to experiment with Pachube but SRI is stopping me....because the submission date is tomorrow.

I just can't concentrate on that now so i decided to share my POST-IT board!:

You need:

• One empty plastic folder
• One paper
• Post-it notes
• Pen

Post-it can't stick well on wall, and my table is facing the wall. So i use plastic folder as the platform...but empty plastic folder looks so plain so i simply write out and doodle something on it and then put in the folder facing you. Tada! Finish! Now take a post-it notes (more color the merrier), use a pen to jot down anything and stick on it. :D

Ahem.

Okay this is officially pointless. Back to my SRI. No more running.

FYP

The war has begun! Damn. All my creative juices just vaporized away when i need it!

Btw, i got a new blogsite for the documentation of my FYP ( final year project) research, findings and etc. Feel free to check it out here. I am kinda stuck with my own ideas...i literally crapped out the ideas last night for the sake of crapping out some ideas. I don't like it.

I think i gonna study more references and read more case studies before i make up my mind which to pursue. For now i just want to take a dog nap - - just got to sleep like 2 hrs last night. So many things to learn, so little stamina left for me.

& i having mouth ulcer which is bloody pain sometimes. Okay not that pain but the pain is like constant..and heaty. Besides that i keep shitting these two days and is bad for my ass!

Health is wealth..... Better stay healthy for this sem.

* while waiting for the video to be uploaded, i spend around 10mins on washing dishes. That's why people hire maid for a reason. ( & Indonesia permit their people to work here as maid after much negotiation.) I not a jobsist or jobist or what, just that house chores are not for me. I rather cook and rest, let your hard work kena reward by letting somebody else wash the dishes for you. :) If one day i become a hsewife, i must be a wife of a fucking rich billionaire.

Resampling09 : SetUp

Hi. My major class had organized an exhibition at Egallery FCM building! The exhibition is to chowcase our final project for this sem.  Check out ReSampling09 for more information about my class DM Gamma 3 Installation Exhibition! 

 
The poster above  is design by Cheese. Nice rite :D  Anyway as for my group ( KhairulJ, Cheese & me) we set up our installation on Monday till Tuesday, the exhibition is on Wednesday May 13. 

All of us Dm-ians work very hard for this installation exhibition and i believe is a fun experience to all of us. Here are some photos on the set up day(photos hp quality):

Over Confident.

Yesterday i tried to hack a keyboard, almost succeed but i failed miserably. I am suppose to submit this assignment today but i did not. Great.

 

but! i sort of got addicted to dismantle the keyboard...is fun i actually enjoyed this assignment ( for the first 7 hours) then when i cant get it right i got no mood anymore. 

How to hack a keyboard? Follow the tutorial slides provided by the lecturer and start! :

You need a keyboard and screwdriver~

Destroy it! and take out the circuit

Test out the key press by using wires,

test out the combination and then solder it.

(skipped lots of steps..google the complete steps, i am lazy)

Solder on ur fav buttons! i bought toggle

cos is cool.

Make a platform and voila~ looks awesome

but its not workable.

Stupid solder.

Yesh. I bought another keyboard and hacking it now. Wish me luck XD

All i can say is,

sometimes unexpected things happen and we must suffer the consequences.

For instance, storyboard hvnt done for tomorrow submission yet the assignment that suppose to submit today got postponed to next week.

Fuck. Tonite is my nite. Draw draw draw

My storyboard officially worst assignment of this sem. Damn it. 

Late for presentation, and got deduct marks for wrong paper size...thx to the printer! 

Now i shall hibernate to return back my 2 days of good night sleep!
