Recipe - Bacon wrapped Pork Something.

Last Sunday, i've decided to cook something to lighten up the gloominess of Sunday & feed my stomach. 
After inspecting the fridge for ingredients, this was what i can came out with -Bacon wrapped Pork Something. Part of the recipes i've found it online. Thank god for internet and the rest just add in your own imagination:


The base sauce, something sweet to glaze on the pork.
Mix in generous amount of honey, a touch of apple cider, one tsp of mustard,
one onions, rosemary, one clove of garlic, two tsp sugar and one tsp salt.



Season the pork with Salt and Pepper and i add in 
paprika to spice up the meat.



Wrap the meat with bacon and secure it with a toothpick.
Add olive oil and butter at a pan and pan fry both side.
Around 10mins each side.



Then put in your meat in a foil and glaze all your meat with the 
earlier honey mix, just pour all in :D
Bake your meat at 350 degree for around 15-20min.



Voila, meat with cameralized honey mix glaze.
The sweetness of the sauce collide with the salty savoury taste of bacon and the meat.
Heavenly!


Note: The pork meat i should use something less fatty and tender or tenderloin. Well thats all i can get from the fridge at that moment. Delicious anyway :D

Dinner is served!

Bacon Wrapped Potatoes with Cheese sprinkles and Mustard Apple sauce.
FYI, nothing can goes wrong with bacon! yay!

Oven BBQ Cajun Chicken with Cherry Tomatoes.
Well, the gravy all dried out but the chicken taste not bad and tender!

Lemon Bars! I used 80% brown sugar for the filling. 
Health conscious. I really like this recipe, very yummy!

Dinner is served.


Prepared by me. I give myself 8/10. (pat on my shoulder)
-2 for the chicken cause of the gravy!

Sous Chef in Command!

I love cooking, it is fun, experimental and adventurous! Why sous chef? Cause i'm used to be the one helping the main chef (my mom or sis) while they were cooking in the kitchen. Now i am going to challenge myself and cook 3 course meals for my sister and cousin. Parents went to Northern part of Malaysia for holidays, lucky them :)

On this lovely Hari Raya evening, two worlds shall meet and fight! meat will be on fire! Sinners will join the dark side! I can these might sound misleading, what i meant is:

Starter: Bacon Wrapped Potatoes Cubes with Sour Cream. ( two worlds, veggie and meat met and tangled together) / Recipe.


Main: Oven Barbecued Chicken with Gravy. ( meat = chicken, fire = bbq so meat will be on fire) / Recipe.

Dessert: Lemon Bars. (Sweet indulgence, entirely sinful.) / Recipe.

I am so amazed at my own justification :D With the help of the recipes from all over the internet, i will alter my way there for tonight feast!

Knock on the door of 2010!

Hello people!

This is shocking but i can't believe i actually went to KL - the city in new year eve. Yvonne woke me up at around noon and asked me to tag along to kl. They were going to shoot footages for their film so i thought i was going to do my work there in a nice cafe so i brought my laptop along (regret) and some SHOPPING.

Laptop...haih why i bring you out hang out with me around KL? Literally hang on my shoulder together with me. Anyway didn't get the chance to sit down and do my work because was late and etc etc. Ahem but i did shop a little. :) 3 items are little right?

Btw 1st of January is my roomate's birthday! Happy Birthday to Yvonne Chong! :P Me and Charuk planned to get her a present but we don't know what to get her so instead of buying ourselves we asked her to pick her own present but she couldn't got to pick any. And the shops were closing at around 10pm, so we took her to Bangkok Jazz! We were feeling thai-ish. KAP KUN KHAP (wrong).

I bit on some chili padi, god it was damn spicy. We had very thai dishes, som tum? (papaya salad), kuey teow something sup, fried cat fish with mango salad and sago with mango, coconut milk. Yummy. Happy birthday miss Von!

Then Yvonne separated with us, she went to KLCC to meet the others. Me and Charuk took train back to KL sentral. Yesh we were avoiding the crowd and the countdown. :) 1130pm, rushing to train station to catch the last KLIA express to back to Cyberjaya, home. Along the route, saw lots of ppl still going in to KL while we, away from the core of KL to isolation. HAHA.

Bought the last ticket, waited in the air-con waiting room. Train arrived at around 11:55pm.
We were crapping in the train and without notice, the clock almost strike 12am! 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5,4,3,2,1 ... HAPPY NEW YEAR! We shouted in the nearly-empty train. And of coz HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL MY FRENS and FAMILY!

Once i heard, how you spend your first day of new year determine the overall performance or look and feel of the rest of the year. So me and Charuk interpreted that our 2010, we will be spending time in the train, so which means travelling? Express train? So we will be moving fast forward? Let's hope our FYP will bring us far in future k :)

Tossed to our journey to money, health, future, success and fame! Ahhh, cheers.

Sunday I Cheese Fondue

Wake up on a Sunday morning, the best thing to do is make cheese fondue for tea time! XD cheh. I've been craving for Cheese Fondue ever since cheese fondue existed but i never get the chance to taste it.. . ... Some people born with bad luck ey BUT my magnanimous~ cousin decided to make cheese fondue for me! ( okay for us) so we checked the recipe on line and grab a ride to the nearest supa-market! 

The ingredients cost almost RM90. = =" damn, just some different cheeses, crackers, bacon, milk, cream and is not sharkfin or what so ever. Oh ya and wine anyone? ( just sparkling juice~ )
Anyway BIG THX to my cousin XueMin~ for sponsoring this fabulous cheese fondue!

Eventhough the cheese is er... not totally melt but overall it taste not bad. REALLY NOT BAD AFTER ALL. btw i currently attracted to AFC channel! all the good foods appear in the TV screen....fuck. i wan to have a food trip!
