Sharing session.

Went back to my University yesterday with Khairul and Anwar.

We conducted a not so formal sharing session with the Juniors from virtual reality. Well the lecturer, Avi invited us to give a brief introduction and demo about microcontroller - Arduino. Khairul did the presentation and introduction, Anwar shared with them his previous project and tips & i conducted a mini demo session on using the Arduino.

We are not pros but my target is to share what i know with the juniors. At least now they understand the basic of microcontroller..hopefully. haha

And what the hell! Now the faculty have a new media lab & is pretty cool! I remembered last time my class, we need to buy all the equipments ourselves and now the lucky ones have a very own studio with space to solder and even provided them with the materials. 

It was a fun experience, to be in the class again. Even though the crowds were few (half the class went missing), i think i had a good experience, somehow.

Now, where is my ethernet shield!

Animal in Suit.

I always have a thing for animal in suit. I think they are utterly cute and attractive in it. Too bad they don't seem to like it much. So i draw them out:

A blunt pencil (later on got a sharper pencil) + webcam quality capture.

More to come~ I had fun drawing them!

When all else failed, just stand back up. Like a pro.

Yesterday had dinner with my aunty. She asked me about the US program thing.

"Did you get through? Do i need to give you 100US Dollar? (laugh)"
"Err, i think no hope for now.."

Within me, between myself, theres only one winner - Me. For a long time after since the holidays, i feel so me again. Inspired to do more. Need to catch back all the sand of time that slipped through the cracks of my hands. I can't believe i wasted so much time.

I am an student artist. Remember that. Go for it. Remember this feeling. Gonna be hardcore, dark and twisty! Kick ass!

Google Stimulus Program had already started! Going to meet some clients and intern for google. How cool is that? I always loveeee google.

Now my focus going to be my Final Year Project, Special Research Interest (kill me pls), Badminton's test and assignments and Google! & my personal r&d.

Ahh the time

I got addicted to video recording and editing ;) arhhh~ i still love film! Well my initial plan was to go in Film & Animation course anyway but Digital Media Art is amazing too :) Technology fascinates me.

I recorded with my hp~ ( no dvcam) of the making of Chocolate Moose by me and sis but i was just playing around. Compiled the video and discovered i dont have any good footages of the final product, chocolate moose. Well, to compensate that, i edit the video with woohoooo effect.

Wonder what is woohoo effect? Try to be happy and shout:" Woohoo~" or listen to I am the Walrus by the Beatles. Okay i just trying to be colorfulish.

And damn the facebook for not allowing me to post this video! So i shall share it here :O

Hello to Arduino!

Yesterday got back home from Cameron Highland! It was fun and cozy..the game night was the best with the self-made steamboat! :) Anyway i met my cousin, mom and aunty at the Sungai Buluh Jejantas resting place there and they passed me my Arduino parcel! The one that i ordered from the Sgbotics site. I was so excited! :

Tested the basic and simple tutorial with Cheese :)

It AMAZED us.

Kinda stucked at the part where we have to use the photocell to replace the button as the input but failed. Gonna experiment with it again later :)

Anyway when the LED blinked we were so excited:

Now i need toolkit box...and all those tools...screwdriver,solder, multimeter etc etc. Shall pay a visit to KL , the street that sell electronics stuff near Timesquare.

Update on driving : Exam in these few weeks time. I am ready .. soon. Hopefully :P

But i not sure if my next DLG project gonna be this...i dont even know the proper ways to animate.

I think i in love

Part of my DLG programme. Ahem. Did this mini mini motion graphic kind of video today in the office or shld i say yesterday. Ah fuck my grammar.

I think i am in love with AE. I can just play around with it whole day man. haha. Anyway i followed this tutorial(credits to) by this awesome dude, Bryan Clark from AEtuts+. Check it out here.

The tutorial is really simple,easy to understand and i really like the overall feel of the vid so i decided to upload here (i lower down the video's quality for streaming) . If anyone knows anymore AE tutorial that similar to this video, pls do tell me ya!

Last thing, the photostock, audio, effect from the video is for personal purposes.
